CWC Group welcome Marketing Derby to the Tramshed

CWC were proud to recently host Marketing Derby and their Bondholders at the Tramshed in Derby.  The Tramshed is the result of an exciting refurbishment of historic city centre buildings.  In a former life, the buildings housed the horses and carriages for the guests of the St James Street Hotel.  They then found use as a showroom and workshop for an engineering company, however in more recent years, they have been left vacant.

Situated behind St James Street and The Strand, the buildings have been a hidden gem in the centre of Derby.  That is until last year when the CWC Group decided to undertake an extensive refurbishment of the buildings to rejuvenate and revive this location.  The result has been to provide circa 10,000 sqft for bars, restaurant or leisure use.  Benefiting from access directly from The Strand, the property provides an exciting opportunity for an occupier or occupiers to breathe new life into the city in a truly unique property.

Andrew Bock, Director of CWC Group said “after a sympathetic and extensive restoration of the building, we were proud to invite the Marketing Derby Bondholders to the Tramshed for a first look at the buildings.  We have strived to maintain a number of original features of the buildings, most notably the original sign-written wall which really sets the property apart.  We are now looking to engage with operators to bring something new and quirky to this unique property”.
